Christine S. Mahon, M.A., F-AAA – Clinical Audiologist

Christine received her B.A. in Speech Pathology/Audiology and her Master of Arts in Audiology from San Jose State University. She is licensed by the State of California as a Dispensing Audiologist.

Prior to opening Diablo Hearing Services, Christine worked as a clinical audiologist within the Kaiser Clinics in the Bay Area and for three private audiology/hearing aid dispensing practices in the East Bay area. She also worked as a contract audiologist for Synergy Rehabilitation, providing hearing testing for numerous skilled nursing facilities in the local Bay Area and in Central California.

Christine has a passion for people and helping them to better understand and discover solutions to their communication issues. In her moments of leisure, she spends time with family, friends, and staying active outdoors.

Janelle Spear, AU.D., Doctor of Audiology

Janelle Spear has over 30 years of experience practicing audiology in the Bay Area.Since her initial clinical fellowship training at UCSF, she has worked in both public and private practice settings, and has experience with manufacturer training and research.Her areas of special interest are in adult aural rehabilitation and tinnitus, and she is certified by the Tinnitus Practitioners Association.She is most passionate about helping clients reduce the stress of listening by combining the latest high-tech solutions with interpersonal communication strategies. She earned her BS from the University of Oregon; her Master’s degree from UC Santa Barbara, and her AuD from AT Still University. Outside of work she is an avid mountain biker and pianist, and enjoys hiking in the Oakland hills with her family (including her 100-pound labrador mix).

JAYNELLE GARCIA, AU.D., DOCTOR OF AUDIOLOGY

Jaynelle earned her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with a minor in neuroscience at the University of San Francisco. In addition, she has completed her Doctorate in Audiology at University of the Pacific.  Her clinical interests include, pediatric and adult diagnostics, amplification/hearing aids, aural (re)habilitation, tinnitus management, and community outreach.

To keep her busy work life balance going, Jaynelle manages her free moments indulging in yoga, dancing hula, and playing with her pug/terrier mix dog, Chico.

KRISTY MILLERT, PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Kristy joined the Diablo Hearing Services team in 2017. She has more than 10 years of administrative experience and loves helping people. She is quick to greet patients with a smile in person or on the phone and will always take care of you with a can-do attitude. Kristy has two children that keep her very busy with sports and activities. She and her family love spending time at the beach and attending baseball games.

ANN MCNAMARA, INSURANCE BILLING

Ann joined us at Diablo Hearing Services in 2018 and bring s a wealth of experience with her 10 years of office management. On top of her skills, Ann is a great people person with her outgoing personality and sense of humor. Best of all, she loves helping patients!

For over 20 years, Ann keeps her busy life in balance though practicing yoga. She keeps active by hiking, taking long brisk walks, and loves spending time with her family – especially her new grandson 🙂 Having lived many years on Cape Cod – when she’s not out hiking, she enjoys spending time along the ocean.

KASSIDY CARPENTER-HAMMARSTROM ADMINSTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Kassidy has a strong background and experience working in various administrative roles. Over the years, she has worked for a variety of firms providing important customer support for their business needs. Kassidy grew up as a southern Californian in Murrieta, just outside of LA. She is newly married to her husband Aaron and both are very involved in their local church. When she’s not serving at her church, she looks forward to traveling to her favorite destination – the beautiful island of Maui.

Lynn Jaime, Administrative Assistant & Receptionist

Lynn Jaime joined us in September 2022 as our Administrative Assistant & Receptionist. She’s a self-proclaimed people person with 10-plus years of customer service. Back in her college days, Lynn studied Kinesiology with a minor in Recreation at California State East Bay. But she says it’s her sorority experience that’s honed her great communication skills and love for working with and helping others.

Lynn’s personal passions – spending time with family & friends and her dog son, Bruno. Her hobbies are fitness, meditation and binge watching her favorite TV shows like Greys Anatomy or Game of Thrones.
